History Exhibition Online

exhib iconOn 25 and 26th May 2013 an Exhibition of Enniskerry History was displayed in the Parochial Hall, Enniskerry as part of the Village’s Gathering Weekend.

This exhibition is reproduced here for people who couldn’t make it in person. As well as the 10 plates covering various aspects of Enniskerry History, the exhibition also featured a rolling video of photographs of Local People, old news reel videos, and a display of local photos including several unknown people (many of whom were identified on the day). To access different sections of the exhibition, click on the link below.

  • Main Exhibition: 10 Posters covering various aspects of Enniskerry History
  • Local Photos: People we wanted to identify and those we already knew
  • Old News Reels: Old videos clips featuring Enniskerry
  • Enniskerry History Walking Tour

I have a couple of names to go with your unidentified people on your local photos.I’m rather new to computers but if you could explain how I can match names to your photos I will send you them.

      Hi Gill,

That is great. The best thing at the moment is to go to this website where all the photos are recorded and click on the one you are interested in. When this opens, you’ll see a little speech bubble at the bottom – this allows you to add your comment once you are logged into Flickr.

You can log in to Flickr using a Yahoo or Google log in, if you already have one, or just by creating a Flickr account at the homepage: http://www.flickr.com and selecting the Sign Up button in the top-left hand corner.

If all that seems like too much work, you can just copy the link of the photo you are interested in, paste it in the comments here and give the details about it.
