Planet Korda Pictures are currently producing a documentary for RTÉ on cinema-going in Ireland called ‘See You at the pictures!’. We’re looking for people of any age, from all over Ireland, to send us their stories / anecdotes of going to the pictures. We would love it if you had any information you could share on old cinemas in the Wicklow area.
As well as the 90 minute TV documentary we also plan to create a website which will act as a resource on cinema history in Ireland. the site will host an interactive map with the locations of every old cinema marked with links to information and stories about that cinema. Any info you could provide would be wonderful for the Wicklow section of this website.
