Share your memories of Enniskerry this Summer

Have you memories of Enniskerry?

This summer, the Journal of Enniskerry and Powerscourt Local History will publish a special issue containing memories and stories of people from the neighbourhood in times gone by. Do you or your relatives have any stories you would like to share? This is an opportunity to document them in written form. The stories can be as short or as long as you like; they can be about one topic or a tell about a period of time. Maybe it’s just a photograph you want to share and talk about.

If you have something you would like to contribute, please send it to Michael Seery (mkseery@gmail.com) by mid-May. All contributors will get a free copy of the Journal and it will be lodged in local libraries and the National Library of Ireland.

For more information on the Journal, please see the journal homepage.

  1. Dear Michael, is it too late to send in a piece for this? I’d like to put something together about my mother who came from Germany to Enniskerry in 1956 and was very involved in village life, teaching art in Powerscourt National School, was on the vestry for years and did meals on wheels for 20 years. Her name is Wilma Petters.
    Kind regards, Yanny Petters

    • Not too late, compiling it at the moment and into June, so please send on: mkseery @ gmail.com Thanks!
